UX Conference Speaker at UX India

January 25 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Recently, I had the privilege of speaking at UXINDIA Pre-Conference focused on Persuasive Design, a topic that sits at the intersection of psychology, design, and user behavior. The session was an enriching experience, both for the participants and for me as a speaker.

The workshop began with an introduction to the core principles of persuasive design, emphasizing how subtle design choices can influence user decisions and actions. We explored concepts like reciprocityscarcity, and social proof, and how they can be ethically applied to create engaging and intuitive user experiences.

One of the highlights was the hands-on activity where participants redesigned a feature of an existing app using persuasive design techniques. Seeing their creativity and understanding of the concepts come to life was incredibly rewarding. The discussions that followed were thought-provoking, especially around the ethical implications of persuasive design and the fine line between guiding users and manipulating them.

As a speaker, I was inspired by the enthusiasm and curiosity of the attendees. Their questions and insights reminded me of the importance of fostering meaningful conversations in the UX community. This workshop reinforced my belief that persuasive design, when used responsibly, can create experiences that are not only effective but also empowering for users.

Overall, it was a fulfilling experience, and I look forward to more opportunities to explore this fascinating topic with fellow UX enthusiasts.
